Boyne Mountain, Pastor's Conference 2005

This is the entry to the hotel. It is brand new as it has only been open a few months. They have yet to have a winter. It reminded me of Frakenmuth, but minus the great chicken.

This was the sitting area at the hotel we stayed at. I truly loved the rustic, outdoor setting. All that was missing was the snow.

This was only part of the almost 500 steps to the top of Boyne Mountain. It was a peaceful walk, but one that left me slightly out of breath. Guess I need to spend more time exercising and less time watching football.

I can not be sure exactly what these red bushes or trees are, but they paint the landscape beautifully. God does create some marvelous things.

This bench must be a wonderful place to come to sit and think, or pray. I imagine that over the years many couples have come here to spend time together in this quiet piece of the world.

This is the top of the "mountain" that I climbed on our short break. It was quite beautiful and peaceful. Someday I hope to get on a higher mountain.

I must admit, please don't laugh, this is my first look at a ski slope. Growing up in Florida, you don't get many chances to ski in the snow. I bet this is gorgeous in the winter. I did find out that skiing can be expensive with all the equipment and all. You have to pay to ride the lift up the side of the mountain! Crazy I say. Guess you can't walk though.
